Application of an Active DC Link to Commercial LED Driver2025

The importance of the working temperature in utilizing long-life electrolytic capacitors for high-power density applications, especially in an active DC link, has been demonstrated.

The obtained results indicate that achieving a compact active decoupling board is possible without requiring a large number of ceramic class 2 capacitors in SSB topology because the proposed approach allows for a substantial increase in the maximum rated capacitor current.
